Gljúfurbústaðir - Holiday Homes are lodges of highest quality where the comfort of the guests is the prime goal. Each house has beds for 6 adults; thereof 2 double beds, duvet, pillows, shower, TV, DVD player, radio/CD, propane-grill, hot tub and garden-furniture on a fenced off veranda, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric stove and oven, tableware, and high quality furniture.

We are located high on a hillside with a wide panorama view overlooking the Ölfus - region in SW - Iceland towards the coast and the villages Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri and town Þorlákshöfn. Distance between the lodges is wide to secure individual space and privacy.

This is a tranquil environment outside the traffic, but only a short way from main routes and towns. Approx. distances: 3 km. to highway nr. 1, 6 km. to town Hveragerði. 10 km. to town Selfoss and 40 km. to Reykjavík city.

Interesting hiking-routes are at the doorstep and in the near by Hengill-recreation area, on well marked paths. In the next neighbourhood you will find various recreational possibilities, such as thermal swimming pools, golf-courses and horse-rentals.

Included are bed linen, towels and light final cleaning. Light final cleaning means you just remove all trash (there is a garbage container in the area) and put all dirty kitchen/cooking utensils in the dishwasher and turn it on.

Pets, indoor smoking and parties are not allowed in the houses.
